Valuable contacts

Ecovillages that have given us inspiration:

Many ecovillages have influenced during the years. Early in this process was Auroville, an enormous project in which the whole world could be a part. Later we made contact with Svanholm and Christiania, which proved that even in scandinavia it was possible to establish alternative communities. Visiting Damanhur showed that so many people are looking for something that society just doesn't offer; something maybe ecovillages can offer.

A few years ago we visited Findhorn, a leading ecovillage in Europe, som which has gone far to create a sustainable lifestyle. Sieben Linden and Niederkaufungen have shown us you can even go a bit further with ecological building and sharing/communal living than we had previously realised.

recently we have had contact with small ecovillage projects, for example the impressive ecovillage Emerald Earth, Lost Valley, Torri Superiore and the permaculture project Commonweal Garden.

In Sweden Ekbo Gebers and Vita hästen can be found in Stockholm. In Scania/Skåne  Solbyn and Baskemölla are ecovillages to be seen. On the west coast we found Rydebacke, Utsikten and Kampetorp representing three different ways of creating an ecovillage. Not really ecovillages but equally inspiring are Kretsloppshuset and Växhuset.
