Maybe an eco-village that fits you? We bought this beautiful property at Visby’s southern outskirt on 1 July 2008 to establish an eco-village. Anyone who is willing to support the village in any manner is welcome to contact us.
We are offering comfortable but simple housing, bicycling distance to Visby and walking distance to the beach. Being one of Sweden’s sunniest locations, locally produced food, solar power and community-built with natural materials shouldn’t be impossible. Straw bundles, logs, stone and clay, culture cafés and artistic activity, fellowship and multitude, consensus and respect, local economy, direct current, electric cars…

Information about the cooperative society

Suderbyn is an economic cooperative which overall goals are to promote the members’ economical interests through supplying provisions, housing, work and leisure time of the best quality and according to Earth Charter. Members participate in the activity by:

• Developing a sustainable agriculture according to the principles of permaculture
• To enrich biological multitude and reduce the ecological vulnerability
• To create conditions for sustainable housing and developing fellowship
• To promote local and “green” employment.

The association has PlusGiro 47 31 38-6 and Bankgiro 299-6817.
